Where I start

How do you know what stock you are holding right now?
Register, spreadsheet, or someone walking the floor.
How does a work order reach the person doing it?
Verbally is the most common answer I get.
Where do customer orders arrive?
If it is three places, that is usually module one.
When do you find out about a quality problem?
At the station, at dispatch, or from the customer.

An hour that should be five minutes is the pattern.
Who could not go on leave next week without it hurting?
Name that person and you have named the risk.
